Coachella. Rock Werchter. Lollapaloozas in Europe and South America. Giant festivals all over the world.

And now, the 1975 are playing one in Tampa.

The British alternative favorites will headline this year's 97X Next Big Thing lineup, the station announced Friday afternoon. They'll be joined by alternative groups AJR, the Revivalists, Judah and the Lion, Silversun Pickups and more.

For the first time in three years — coincidentally, the last time the 1975 came to town, also headlining Next Big Thing — the festival will return to being just a one-day event on Sunday, Nov. 24. That's the earliest a Next Big thing has ever taken place. (It also happens to be the same night Ariana Grande plays Amalie Arena, so make sure you sync your iCals.) A pre-sale starts Wednesday, with tickets, $35 and up, going on sale to the general public on Aug. 23. Click here for details.

The rest of this year's Next Big Thing lineup is heavy on up-and-coming artists: Shaed, Morgxn, White Reaper, the Band Camino, Twin XL and Smith and Thell.

But the 1975 are a worthy headliner, even if this is their second time topping the bill. Their last two albums, I Like It When You Sleep, For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware of It and A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships, have both received widespread acclaim, with the Ringer calling the latter a "perfect statement." Singer Matty Healy has a way with both attracting headlines and writing catchy, classic-sounding pop songs, like The Sound, Love It If We Made It, She's American and It's Not Living (If It's Not With You).
